With his dedication to sharing knowledge and creating social change, Miguel Montalva Barba has educated and inspired countless people inside and outside the classroom. Miguel has published on various topics and has been invited as a speaker at events and conferences. Miguel prides himself on his high-impact teaching practices as well as his research. 

SCHOLARLY WORK

Dr. Montalva Barba has been published in a number of leading journals, Critical Sociology and Urban Studies and has gained a name as a leading voice in the sociological study of race and racism, and urban sociology. Currently, his work focuses on White progressives and their connections to settler colonial midsets.
